Community Initiatives Team Objectives 2003-2004

  1. i. To support effective partnerships and ensure tenants input in to Communities First Partnerships through working on specific projects in:
    • Morawelon a London Road, Holyhead
    • Maeshyfryd, Holyhead
    • PWT, Llangefni
    • Bowydd a Rhiw, Blaenau Ffestiniog
    • South Pwllheli
    • Penllyn
  2. ii. To support the work with groups and help setup effective partnerships outside Community First areas in Gwynedd and Anglesey, and ensure that the activities benefit tenants – concentrating on this is Penygroes
  3. iii. Continue with the project ‘Capacity Building – Caernarfon and ensure success with the objective 1 bidand Communities Firstthrough:
    • Increase the number of volunteers who contribute and ensure a cross-section of different groups in thearea
    • To create and recruit a Young Persons post under the management of Cofis Cwl
    • Support the shadow Committee Cwm Cadnant Communities First
    • Ensure a Community audit of the area and develop the projects that are recoginsed
    • Continue work with Criw Cwm Cadnant and Maesincla Action Group
  4. iv. Recognise Tenants Participation in the Associations operation plans through:
    • Using focus groups to ensure tenants input to processsuch as Best Value and Compact and consultations on poverty policies
    • Support the planning and facilitate the arrangements of the associations staff and tenants conferences
    • Assist in setting up and supporting tenants groups
    • Produce relevant and regular information for, management board and local groups through Taro Post, Hysbys and the Intranet
  5. v. Ensure of the Associations operational input :
    • North Wales Communities First Co-ordinators Network
    • TPAS
    • Gwynedd Facilitators Network
    • Mantell Gwynedd
    • Medrwn Môn
    • Arbed Ynni Môn
    • Gwynedd Gynaladwy
    • WCVA
